You need to stay in Dallas for a few days, and you’re on a limited budget. You don’t want to spend all your money on a hotel room. You need to find bargains on hotels in Dallas, so where do you start?
I’m going to assume you don’t have a travel agent to help you with the process, so we’re going straight to the internet. Many sites on the internet allow you locate and book hotel rooms. Travelocity, Orbitz, Priceline, and Expedia can find you the best bargains on hotels in Dallas, as can sites such as hotels.com and #1 hotels.com that list hotels in the Dallas area by location and star rating. Clicking on the hotel name leads to a page with more information about the hotel and how to book rooms. Often booking can be done right there on the site.
A site called Travelzoo.com says it checks the other online booking sites and kind of works as a one-stop shop for all of them. One rather interesting site called Cheapostay.com actually lets you enter hotel ratings in your search, so if you don’t mind a one star hotel, you can find one and book your rooms. However, the same site offers great rates and special deals (up to fifty percent off) on some of the better hotels in the Dallas area. Bargain City Hotels.com has similar options.
Additionally, city information and tourist information cites can also help you locate bargains on hotels in Dallas. Trip Advisor, Travel pod and virtual tourist all offer advice, rate information and customer reviews of hotels and other travel related businesses, such as rental car companies. There are links that allow you to book rooms online as well.
If you have a hotel in mind, you can also more than likely find their web site on the internet, particularly if you are looking for a hotel chain. Motel 6, Super 8 Motels, La Quinta, and Quality Inns, all have hotels in Dallas, and currently have rates starting around fifty dollars a night (Motel 6 is closer to forty). If you’ve ever stayed at any of these hotels, you know they offer nice comfortable rooms, and affordable prices. Many of them also have small amenities such as coffee pots and hair dryers in the rooms.
Dallas specific sites often have hotel information as well. The Dallas City Hall site has tourist information, but it is a link to Visit Dallas.com and as you might expect, highlights the more extravagant hotels. However Dallas.com has an entire page of budget hotel information many of which are mentioned above, in addition to several Best Western Hotels.
Just because you want or need a bargain, doesn’t mean you can’t get a pleasant room or have an enjoyable stay. However, always keep in mind that rates and room availability can vary drastically depending on the time of year you’re travelling. Always double check the rates before you leave. However, if you do a little homework, you’ll be sure to find bargains on hotels in Dallas.
